Biopharmaceutical and Medical Device Companies
Representation of numerous leading biopharmaceutical and medical device companies on issues that included Medicare, preventive health benefits, and coverage/reimbursement for screening of Medicare beneficiaries for a variety of medical conditions. Resulted in enactment of legislation authorizing Medicare preventive health benefits with improvements in public health as well as early diagnosis of medical conditions and disease states leading to greater utilization of clients’ medical products and services with corresponding increase in sales and market expansion.
Telehealth/Telemedicine Coalition
Engaged by a group of medical companies, insurance providers and multinational corporations to help launch a coalition devoted to securing reimbursements through the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for telemedicine and telehealth care. In addition to creating an online presence for the coalition, secured prominent media coverage in publications including The New York Times, Los Angeles Times and The Washington Post. Other work included op-ed writing and placement and outreach to editorial boards.
